Staff Product Security Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Hybrid work with office attendance on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; Wednesdays and Fridays offer more flexibility for remote work. English is the working language.

What you will do

• Drive continuous improvement of the security program across the product and company.
• Conduct architecture design reviews, threat modeling, and technical security assessments across application and infrastructure systems.
• Integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Build and scale vulnerability management to track, analyze, and manage vulnerabilities and remediation.
• Perform risk assessments of internal systems, environments, assets, and data, and implement security best practices.
• Participate in compliance and incident response activities.

Requirements

• Familiarity with application security best practices, including threat modeling.
• Experience operating within an SDLC program.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their security implications.
• Familiarity with IAM frameworks and protocols, including Passkeys, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
• Interest in enabling secure use of AI tools to drive internal efficiency, creativity, and impact.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt communication to the audience and message.
• Ability and motivation to mentor and support colleagues.
• Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly and find relevant knowledge independently.
• Adaptability and comfort providing security support and guidance across technical and non-technical parts of the business.
