Fullstack Developer (Java)

Location: Hybrid, New Cairo City, Cairo Governorate, Egypt

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Apply microservices, distributed transaction, Saga, event-driven, and asynchronous messaging patterns with Apache Kafka.
• Implement application security with OAuth2, JWT, secure coding, vulnerability remediation, API versioning, idempotency, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Build and operate cloud-native and serverless AWS solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions; optimize JVM, database, caching, latency, and resource utilization.
• Develop Vue.js frontend applications and reusable components, integrate secure REST APIs, and handle state management, validation, responsive design, and UI troubleshooting.
• Use Node.js, NestJS, Python, scripting, testing, observability, CI/CD, and AI-assisted tools for development, automation, production support, incident resolution, and documentation; conduct code reviews and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in backend software development with Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful API design, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with API design and integration, authentication, authorization, and application security.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent event-streaming technologies.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including query optimization and indexing.
• Experience building and operating applications on AWS, including serverless services.
• Good understanding of unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD, observability, production troubleshooting, and secure development practices.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and deliver reliable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.
• Working knowledge of Vue.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript, including frontend components, REST API integration, frontend architecture, state management, responsive design, client-side validation, and UI troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently implement straightforward to moderately complex frontend features without deep frontend specialization.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to take ownership and work effectively within a cross-functional engineering team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js and NestJS for backend services.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation and tooling.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools and applying AI to improve development productivity and software quality.
• Knowledge of distributed transaction patterns, resilience strategies, caching, and performance optimization.
• Experience automating development and operational workflows using AI.
• Experience participating in architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring developers.
