Scientist - Electronic Materials

hirify.global Corporation's Advanced Materials division develops materials for electronics applications, including high-speed and high-frequency technologies.

What you will do

• Develop and modify laminating and solder mask products for high-end electronics applications.
• Develop printed circuit board technology formulations to meet solder mask and dielectric performance requirements.
• Identify, assess, and qualify new or alternative raw materials and components.
• Design experimental studies, perform laboratory work, interpret data, and deliver project milestones.
• Build structure-property-processing-performance understanding and translate findings into formulations and process recommendations.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing, prepare project documentation and reports, and maintain laboratory EHS and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in physical, organic or inorganic chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science, interfacial science, materials chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in a technical or research laboratory and/or product development environment focused on solder mask, laminating, or related electronic materials systems.
• Intermediate to advanced formulation expertise for solder mask and/or laminating materials, including tailoring products to specific functional requirements.
• Practical knowledge of thermosetting materials and components, including dielectric, thermal, chemical, compatibility, and copper-adhesion performance.
• Knowledge of photoimageable binders, photoinitiators, acrylate monomers, and fillers.
• Understanding of rheology, chemo-rheology, materials processing, and structure-property-performance relationships.
• Basic knowledge of chemical hazard classification and toxicology.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and drive projects to completion.
• Analytical, innovative, results-oriented mindset with strong learning agility and teamwork skills; good written and spoken English.
