Senior Backend Engineer, Revenue (Go)

Location: Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania; hybrid work with 2 recommended office days per week. Remote work is available for up to 90 days per year in the EU, including up to 21 days globally; non-EU citizens can work worldwide remotely for up to 21 days.

Salary: €5,250–€7,100 gross per month.

What you will do

• Build and take ownership of a mission-critical service in the Revenue domain, focused on pricing and discounts.
• Develop backend business logic and APIs, primarily using a newly developed Go service.
• Break down large monoliths into smaller components and services while contributing to new services and major product changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and other engineering teams through prioritization, pull requests, code reviews, and feedback.
• Monitor deployed code using Kibana, Grafana, and Datadog; own SLIs and SLOs within the product team.
• Participate in continuous testing and deployment and an on-call rotation every 6–7 weeks.

Requirements

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful services, event-driven systems, and external integrations, including architecting robust APIs.
• Experience or strong interest in using Go to build scalable and efficient backend systems; Go experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
• Ability to read, fix, and refactor Ruby code.
• Familiarity with software engineering, distributed systems, systems architecture, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and microservices, including their advantages and disadvantages.
• Ability to work collaboratively, engage in constructive conflict, communicate views openly, and maintain respect and professionalism.
