Cloud Engineer

Location: Batam, Indonesia. This is a site-based role requiring work from a company office or work location at least 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Design, architect, and deploy systems across Linux and Windows environments, with a primary focus on Linux.
• Deploy and support enterprise applications, server operating systems, clusters, and public cloud services.
• Resolve operating system, server, and application issues across on-premise data centers and globally distributed systems.
• Create automation scripts and infrastructure workflows for routine administration and service deployment.
• Support engineers and business services as new systems are deployed globally.

Requirements

• Create and troubleshoot AWX and Ansible playbooks.
• Use Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab runners.
• Administer Red Hat 7+, Ubuntu 20, and Windows Server 2016 environments.
• Understand NFS, TCP/IP, DNS, CIFS/SAMBA, and Linux Logical Volumes.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Have hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP public cloud platforms and hold a valid work permit or visa for Indonesia.

Nice to have

• 2–3 years of hands-on Linux and Windows systems administration experience.
• Experience with Canonical MaaS, HPC schedulers, Docker, and automated public cloud deployments.
• Knowledge of AWS EC2, FSx, VPC, global load balancers, Dell PowerScale, Dell R-series servers, and iDRAC/iLO.
• Experience supporting engineering software such as Ansys, Cadence Virtuoso, Xilinx Vivado, Mentor Graphics Expedition, or MATLAB.
