Software Engineer, Cloud Platform and Licensing (Cloud)

Location: Uppsala, Sweden, with hybrid working options

What you will do

• Develop and maintain cloud-based services for IAR's license management platform and subscription products.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations between platform services.
• Schedule and perform service updates while maintaining security and reliability.
• Share ownership of client-side license software installed on developers' machines.
• Collaborate on architecture, priorities, and technical decisions.
• Contribute to containerization, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and broader platform work.

Requirements

• Extensive scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with strongly typed languages such as C# or Java.
• Experience building or integrating REST APIs.
• Comfort working across Windows and Linux environments.
• Understanding of Swedish is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++.
• Experience with Docker or other containerization tools.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, CI/CD, or DevSecOps practices.
• Awareness of security practices such as dependency and vulnerability monitoring.
