AI Automation Engineer

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and operate production-grade AI agents that interpret employee requests, retrieve context, use tools and APIs, and execute actions.
• Develop agentic workflows with multi-step planning, failure handling, human approvals, and resumable execution.
• Maintain MCP servers and create shared automation infrastructure, including credential vaults, event ingestion, scheduling, approval workflows, and state stores.
• Convert high-volume IT support interactions into reliable self-service automation experiences.
• Implement logging, metrics, feedback loops, identity governance, least-privilege controls, audit trails, and safe automation practices.
• Partner with IT Support, Employee Experience, Security, IAM, Infrastructure, and Engineering, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, CI/CD, REST APIs, OAuth2, event-driven integrations, and enterprise systems.
• Production experience shipping LLM-powered applications or AI agents using tool calling, multi-step workflows, context management, RAG, structured outputs, and plan decomposition.
• Understanding of LLM failure modes and experience evaluating and improving AI systems through evals, traces, test datasets, or human feedback.
• Strong judgment regarding security, privacy, least privilege, and reliable enterprise automation, along with strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with automation or integration platforms and MCP server development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks Agent Bricks, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, or LangChain.
• Experience with MLflow tracing and evaluation, vector search, and LLM observability.
• Experience integrating Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, Jamf, GitHub, Workday, or SaaS administration APIs.
• Familiarity with identity lifecycle, access management, device management, and software provisioning.
