Senior Python Backend Developer (Fullstack)

Location: Fully remote; Minsk, Belarus

Novakid is an online English school for children building a digital education product and a visitor funnel from the first visit to a paid lesson.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Python services and APIs for registration, booking, and the visitor account.
• Develop server-side integrations with advertising platforms, including event delivery, deduplication, retries, and monitoring.
• Own backend attribution, including visit tracking, UTM persistence, and investigation of V2L/V2B data gaps.
• Improve service performance and reliability through caching, query optimization, production debugging, and server-side rendering support in Node.js/Express.
• Support server-side A/B testing with feature flags, rollouts, and experiment cleanup.
• Deliver frontend changes in React and TypeScript when features require end-to-end implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production backend development with Python, including independently designed, shipped, and supported services.
• Strong knowledge of API design, relational databases, SQL, caching, background jobs, and third-party API integrations.
• Experience with production debugging, logs, error tracking, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to read and modify Node.js/Express services and deliver features with TypeScript and React.
• Understanding of tracking data flows from click to report and the ability to identify data-loss points.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Server-side conversion tracking with CAPI, Events API, or server-side GTM.
• BigQuery experience for validating product hypotheses with data.
• CDN and edge caching experience, including CloudFront or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of GDPR and consent mechanisms.
• End-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress.
