Location: Hybrid in Spring, Texas, United States; average of 2 days per week in an HPE office

Salary: USD 152,000–349,000 annual base salary in Texas

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve complex production issues across applications, APIs, cloud services, integrations, data pipelines, and factory systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to improve reliability and scalability.
• Design, build, and support integrations between factory environments, cloud platforms, internal systems, and third-party applications.
• Develop automation for onboarding, diagnostics, deployments, monitoring, and support.
• Apply AI and LLM technologies to troubleshooting, incident response, knowledge management, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Product, and Customer Success.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in software engineering, sustaining engineering, integration engineering, SRE, production engineering, or a related role.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and production environments.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Experience with databases, monitoring, logging, networking, and automation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, factory, IoT, edge, or operational technology experience.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MQTT, OPC UA, SCADA, MES, PLCs, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with AI, LLMs, agents, RAG, vector databases, or AI-powered engineering tools.
