GRC Platform Principal

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States of America; four days in the office. Up to 10–15% international travel may be required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $163,625–$211,750 base salary annually, plus potential incentive compensation and equity participation.

What you will do

• Set and evolve the GRC platform roadmap based on stakeholder needs, GRC objectives, and market trends.
• Translate requirements from Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Third-Party Risk, Information Security, and Regulatory teams into workflows, forms, dashboards, and reports.
• Own the platform user experience, documentation, data quality, access controls, configuration standards, and release management.
• Partner with Technology engineering teams to integrate source-of-risk systems and improve automated data flows.
• Lead platform governance, vendor relationships, due diligence, proof-of-concept work, and build-versus-buy assessments.
• Resolve complex configuration, workflow, data, and integration issues while ensuring platform reliability, security, and integrity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience delivering, configuring, and administering GRC platforms, including roadmap ownership in regulated financial services or market infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience translating stakeholder requirements into intuitive workflows, forms, reporting, and user experiences for global users.
• Working knowledge of data integration concepts such as REST APIs and the ability to scope integrations with Technology teams.
• Strong understanding of COSO, NIST, RCSA, and regulations applicable to exchanges, clearinghouses, and financial market utilities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities across time zones, and communicate platform strategy effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with Systemically Important Financial Institutions or Systemically Important Financial Market Utilities.
• Experience directing AI-enabled or automation capabilities in GRC or compliance platforms.
• CRISC, CISA, CISSP, Onspring, Archer, or similar platform certifications.
