Technical Product Owner (Digital Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam or Rotterdam, Netherlands; 2–3 days per week from the office. Working from abroad is possible for up to 13 weeks per year.

What you will do

• Define, document, and clarify project scope, objectives, and technical feasibility with relevant stakeholders.
• Translate client business processes and requirements into actionable development work and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
• Lead refinement sessions and break epics into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Write technical specifications covering functional requirements, integrations, data flows, and API behavior with developers and architects.
• Assess dependencies, risks, technical debt, monitoring needs, and trade-offs across features, bugs, improvements, and maintenance.
• Coordinate stakeholder communication, release updates, test case definition, user acceptance testing, and project scope management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a digital agency or client-facing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of project management and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and business writing skills.
• Experience collaborating with executives, creatives, engineers, managers, subject-matter experts, and vendors.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• Fluent English required; Dutch is an advantage.

Nice to have

• IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Foundation Level certification.
• Dutch language skills.
