ATR - Internship - Geospatial Data Science (F/M) (Geospatial Data Science)

Location: Toulouse Area, with the internship site in Blagnac, France

ATR is an aviation company developing regional aircraft and mobility-related market solutions.

What you will do

• Help develop the MobilityMonitor platform for exploring and communicating human mobility trends.
• Process large volumes of mobile GPS data using PySpark and Microsoft Azure Databricks.
• Improve the analytics pipeline to estimate inter-city travel volumes by transport mode for selected countries.
• Build interactive dashboards with CARTO and Power BI.
• Develop market analyses and communicate findings to ATR, customers, airlines, and government bodies.
• Collaborate with the Market Development, Marketing, and Sales teams.

Requirements

• University education in Data Science, preferably with a geospatial or aeronautical component.
• Interest in human mobility and aviation’s role in society.
• Coding ability and willingness to learn Python and PySpark.
• Ability to solve analytical problems by conceptualizing and implementing new algorithms.
• Ability to synthesize data and information into clear communications and dashboards.
• Student status suitable for a six-month internship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with research foundations for processing mobility data.
