Software Engineer II, Mobile (Card Acquisition)

Location: Remote US; Remote Canada is also listed as an available location. Remote-first work is available within the country of employment, with occasional in-person office work possible and an in-person onboarding experience for new hires.

Base pay: $165,000–$225,000 per year in CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $146,000–$206,000 per year in other US states.

What you will do

• Break down larger projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with the team for timely delivery.
• Partner with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Build and improve card-acquisition and onboarding experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Create and monitor operational metrics, support service availability, and participate in on-call activities.
• Contribute to team growth and development, including participation in interviews.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile applications with native or cross-platform technologies such as React Native.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to design solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
• Experience navigating large codebases, debugging code, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with engineering stakeholders; equivalent practical experience or a related bachelor's degree is required.
