Dutch Audio Transcriptionist — Flemish Speakers (AI Training)

What you will do

• Produce precise, verbatim transcriptions of Dutch-language audio recordings.
• Transcribe challenging recordings with crosstalk, filled pauses, background noise, and multiple simultaneous speakers.
• Identify and distinguish speakers throughout each recording.
• Apply detailed style, formatting, and transcription conventions for non-verbal sounds and incomplete utterances.
• Maintain accuracy and quality across large volumes of audio while working independently and asynchronously.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Dutch fluency, particularly Flemish varieties spoken in Belgium.
• Exceptional listening skills for difficult or noisy audio.
• Strong written Dutch, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules consistently.
• Methodical, patient, self-motivated, and reliable when working independently.
• Comfort using web-based tools and platforms.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in transcription, court reporting, or stenography.
• Experience with subtitling, closed captioning, or media post-production.
• Linguistics training or academic experience in Dutch or Flemish language studies.
• Experience with annotation platforms, data labeling workflows, transcription software, or audio editing tools.
• Knowledge of West Flemish, East Flemish, Brabantian, or Limburg dialects.
