Mission Strategist - San Diego (Clearance Required)

Location: San Diego, California; in-person role requiring the candidate to be based in San Diego or willing to relocate. Work includes time on site with Navy users, secure or classified environments, government networks, and periodic travel.

What you will do

• Embed with Navy users on watch floors, at schoolhouses, and during fleet exercises to identify operational problems and manual workflows.
• Turn ambiguous mission problems into testable hypotheses and iterate based on user feedback.
• Configure and validate agent workflows, prompts, databases, reports, dashboards, and alerts on a classified platform.
• Test and troubleshoot releases on classified networks and provide specific, reproducible feedback to engineering.
• Run funded prototypes from discovery through final demonstration, including sprint planning, dependency tracking, and status reporting.
• Partner with Mission Leads and business development on scoping, cost estimates, demonstrations, and follow-on work.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance at minimum; TS/SCI preferred.
• U.S. Persons status required.
• Must be based in San Diego or willing to relocate; this is an in-person, customer-facing role.
• Experience using technology to solve difficult operational problems through product development, engineering, or military technology fielding.
• Ability to scope ambiguous problems, generate strong hypotheses, perform hands-on technical configuration, and work independently.
• Clear writing and professional communication with operators, senior leaders, engineers, and customers.

Nice to have

• Navy experience in ISR, targeting, maritime operations, or unmanned systems.
• Experience working on a watch floor or in an operations center.
• Experience building with LLM-based tools or light scripting.
