Sr. Accounts Receivable Representative (Medical Billing)

What you will do

• Lead Accounts Receivable representatives and support performance, development, hiring, mentoring, and productivity.
• Process health insurance claims accurately and resolve medical claim issues as a subject-matter expert.
• Research authorizations, coordinate with providers, and manage pended claims and insurance correspondence.
• Support the maintenance of an effective third-party revenue cycle and keep claims below 35 average days outstanding.
• Identify non-payment trends and procedural barriers, escalating issues and recommending process improvements.
• Prepare claim projects, appeals documentation, communication logs, and organized records while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• At least seven years of Accounts Receivable follow-up experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes.
• Familiarity with medical billing software and proficiency with computer software and databases.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, accurate data entry, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, multitasking ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
