Merchant Monitoring Analyst with Nordic Languages (Fintech)

What you will do

• Review existing merchant profiles for compliance with regulatory, internal, scheme, and credit standards.
• Assess merchant risk based on business type, transaction volume, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
• Conduct sanctions-list and card-scheme database checks.
• Verify and request accurate KYC records, customer interactions, and compliance documentation.
• Identify process shortcomings, perform gap analyses, and recommend or lead improvements.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and best practices to less experienced team members while supporting regulatory awareness.

Requirements

• Understanding of KYC, AML, and related regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within financial services, preferably payments or banking.
• Full working proficiency in English and one Nordic language is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work with various computer systems and programs in a fast-paced environment.
