Revenue Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Cairo office, hybrid

hirify.global is a fintech company building digital investing and investment-recommendation products to democratize access to investing across the MENA region.

What you will do

• Record and recognize revenue across entities, products, markets, and currencies, including journal entries, accruals, deferrals, intercompany allocations, refunds, and fee reversals.
• Prepare partner invoices, monitor receivables, follow up on overdue payments, and investigate billing and collection discrepancies.
• Reconcile platform revenue data with settlement reports from clearing houses, asset managers, banks, partners, user transactions, and the general ledger.
• Prepare month-end revenue entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, management reports, and comparisons with operational metrics such as trading volumes, AUM, and subscriber numbers.
• Support VAT, withholding tax, audits, and regulatory reporting by preparing schedules and responding to revenue accounting queries.
• Improve and document revenue accounting processes, controls, reconciliations, and reporting, including automation where possible.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in fintech, financial services, brokerage, banking, payments, or asset management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly IFRS 15 and revenue recognition.
• Experience with bookkeeping, billing, collections, reconciliations, multiple legal entities, products, counterparties, or currencies.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and large datasets.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, hands-on, organized, and comfortable investigating discrepancies and managing competing deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English; degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• ACCA, ACA, CPA, ESAA, or an equivalent qualification completed or in progress.
• Experience with VAT, corporate income tax, or withholding tax.
• Experience with ERP implementations, finance process automation, or collaboration with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams.
• Experience in a regulated financial services business.
