Senior Software Engineer with React Native - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid work model with 3 days per week in the Sofia office

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications using React Native.
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing interfaces across devices and network conditions.
• Develop and maintain Node.js backend services and REST APIs supporting mobile functionality.
• Implement scalable state management with Redux and Redux Toolkit.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Develop patient health-tracking features that read data from medical devices, while debugging production issues and maintaining code quality through testing and reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript or TypeScript development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on React Native mobile application development.
• Strong experience with Node.js, scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Expertise in Redux and Redux Toolkit, plus familiarity with CI/CD and mobile app deployment to the App Store and Google Play.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy devices, wearables, or other medical-device technologies.
• Experience with native module development and bridging React Native with iOS or Android code.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design standards.
• Experience with Firebase, Sentry, analytics, crash reporting, or monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Express or NestJS.
