Technical Writer (Managed Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Own API reference documentation for the control-plane API, SDK, CLI, and Terraform provider.
• Build getting-started guides that help customers create clusters, provision GPU workloads, navigate the console, and configure infrastructure as code without support assistance.
• Write release notes and migration guidance covering breaking changes, deprecated fields, default-value changes, and new platform capabilities.
• Build and operate a docs-as-code pipeline with Git-based versioning, CI builds and linting, automated reference generation, validation, and release-synchronized publishing.
• Use support-ticket trends to identify documentation gaps and measure whether updates reduce recurring issues.
• Review design documents and pull requests with engineering and product teams to ensure public interfaces launch with complete documentation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of technical writing experience for developer-facing API, cloud, or infrastructure products.
• Hands-on experience documenting API references and getting-started content for paying customers.
• Ability to read Go or TypeScript, work from OpenAPI specifications, and validate CLI, SDK, and Terraform examples against a running environment.
• Comfort working with Kubernetes, including kubectl, Helm, and cluster provisioning.
• Experience building or significantly improving a docs-as-code pipeline with Git, CI, static site generation, reference generation, and versioned publishing.
• Experience documenting production APIs, release notes, breaking changes, deprecations, and migration paths while collaborating directly with engineering and support.
