Finance Manager (Fintech)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE. Must be resident in the UAE and maintain a meaningful on-the-ground presence.

What you will do

• Act as the primary finance contact for the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), managing regulatory returns, information requests, and supervisory meetings.
• Monitor regulatory capital, liquidity, safeguarding of client funds, and prudential reporting obligations.
• Own monthly close, financial controls, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reviews for the UAE entity.
• Prepare board and management reporting covering financial performance, capital, and cash.
• Lead the annual IFRS statutory audit and oversee UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance.
• Build the UAE finance operating model, support new product launches, and drive process improvement and automation.

Requirements

• Professional finance or accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CFA, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of finance experience, including senior-level experience in financial services, payments, or another regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, regulatory capital, and UAE prudential reporting requirements for payment service providers.
• Direct experience working with a financial regulator, ideally the CBUAE.
• Experience in financial controlling and building finance capabilities in a growing organization.
• Must meet the CBUAE Fit and Proper criteria, pass background checks, and be resident in the UAE with sufficient time and on-the-ground presence.

• Previous experience with the CBUAE.
