TL;DR
Subsea Cable Package Manager (Marine Energy): Designing and delivering subsea cable systems for next-generation wave farms across concept, engineering, sourcing, installation, and maintenance with an accent on system architecture, dynamic cable design, qualification, and supplier engagement. Focus on validating cable routing and installation loads, coordinating cross-disciplinary engineering, and ensuring compliance with DNV, IEC, and CIGRE standards.

What you will do

  • Own the subsea cable system across concept, detailed design, sourcing, installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Define system architecture, requirements, specifications, compliance documentation, and lifecycle performance metrics.
  • Lead design reviews, FMECA activities, interface definitions, qualification plans, FATs, and type testing.
  • Coordinate electrical, subsea mechanical, marine operations, control hardware, integration, and systems engineering stakeholders.
  • Engage cable, connector, junction box, and protection system suppliers and maintain the long-term supplier roadmap.
  • Validate cable routing, seabed protection, installation methods, loading conditions, maintainability, and serviceability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, marine, subsea engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, including significant work with subsea cables, power cables, connectors, or subsea distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of subsea mechanical behaviour, fatigue, bending, terminations, and static or dynamic cable design.
  • Hands-on experience with testing, qualification programmes, supplier engagement, and cross-functional system ownership.
  • Ability to work with DNV, IEC, and CIGRE standards and lead technical and compliance documentation.
  • Experience presenting technical solutions internally and externally and supporting data-driven engineering decisions.

Nice to have

  • Experience in offshore wind, subsea oil and gas, or other marine sectors.
  • Familiarity with DNV-RP-0360, IEC 63026, CIGRE 623, IEC 61936-1, API 17F, or related standards.
