Lead VFX Artist (Unreal Engine 5)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; relocation required. In-office or hybrid work at the Warsaw Hub.

Salary: 33,800–46,475 PLN gross monthly.

What you will do

• Recruit, lead, mentor, and guide VFX artists while building a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Develop and optimize VFX workflows and efficient production pipelines.
• Prototype, research, and integrate particle effects in Unreal Engine 5.
• Collaborate with gameplay, character, cinematic, and environment teams on VFX requirements.
• Work with directors and Production to define the project vision and estimate workloads.
• Ensure VFX content remains performant and within technical budgets.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of gaming industry experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA title and mentoring VFX artists.
• Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, real-time and baked simulation, rendering techniques, shaders, and lighting.
• Knowledge of 3D software such as 3ds Max, Maya, or Blender, plus performance and optimization principles.
• Fluent English required, both written and spoken.
• Portfolio required; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Experience with Houdini.
• Experience with Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine.
