Senior Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps/Backend)

Location: Remote first, with an option to work on-site with the team in Norway

hirify.global provides a headless commerce service with a product information management and commerce engine, subscriptions, digital products, and a GraphQL API.

What you will do

• Define and maintain SLOs and SLAs for public GraphQL APIs, including error-budget management with the product team.
• Build observability using metrics, tracing, and structured logging.
• Own incident response, on-call tooling, runbooks, blameless postmortems, and toil reduction.
• Scale async distributed architecture and the MongoDB Atlas data layer for global, multi-tenant traffic.
• Strengthen CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code for frequent, reversible deployments.
• Monitor cloud costs and security posture as the platform grows.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in software or systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Strong AWS expertise and the ability to debug across the full application stack.
• Fluency with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Comfort working in TypeScript and GraphQL codebases, including profiling and service fixes.
• Ability to work remotely or on-site in Norway

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, e-commerce traffic patterns, or headless architectures.
