TL;DR
Corporate Governance Research Trainee (Greek & Turkish Markets) (Corporate Governance/Proxy Voting): Analyzing governance structures, publicly listed companies, and general meeting agendas to prepare research reports and vote recommendations for institutional investors with an accent on Greek and Turkish market analysis, corporate governance, and responsible investment. Focus on assimilating large quantities of information, explaining voting recommendations, and delivering accurate client research during proxy voting season.
Location: Brussels, Belgium; onsite at the office 5 days a week. Must be based in Belgium from Day 1.
Salary: €2,242.81 gross per month

What you will do
- Analyze governance structures and performance of publicly listed companies in Greece, Malta, Turkey, and Cyprus.
- Review general meeting agendas and prepare detailed corporate governance research reports.
- Develop vote recommendations and explain the rationale behind them for institutional investor clients.
- Support delivery of data, research, and recommendations during proxy voting season.
- Work with experienced analysts and other trainees using corporate governance technology and analytical methods.
Requirements
- Fluent English and Greek and/or Turkish are required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Political Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical ability, numeracy, and oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to process large quantities of information, work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively.
- Organized and structured approach to work.
- Must be based in Belgium from the first day and work onsite five days per week.
