DevOps Team Lead (AWS)

Location: Remote; candidates must be located in a time zone between UTC+1 and UTC+4 for team synchronization.

What you will do

• Lead a team of DevOps engineers, assign work, track execution, conduct reviews, and provide mentorship.
• Optimize team workflows using Agile and Kanban/Scrum practices.
• Own the infrastructure roadmap, DevOps methodology, GitOps strategy, and critical infrastructure alert rotation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Manage infrastructure as code, containerization, monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
• Ensure infrastructure reliability, fault tolerance, security, and SLA/SLO compliance while collaborating with Development, QA, and Product teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of DevOps experience and 2+ years leading or mentoring a team of at least three engineers.
• Deep expertise in AWS, including EC2, VPC, Route 53, ELB/ALB, EKS, ECS, ECR, S3, EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Systems Manager.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Docker, complex CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
• Experience with networking principles, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/ELK, Linux, Windows, Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Strong communication, systems thinking, proactive ownership, and experience developing team members.
• Availability to work within the UTC+1 to UTC+4 time-zone range is required.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
• Experience with DevSecOps, hybrid-cloud Kubernetes, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange, Teams, Defender for Identity, or Purview.
• Knowledge of SOC2, ISO/IEC 27001, HIPAA, or similar compliance standards.
