Technical Support Engineer - Tier 3 (AI)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office

What you will do

• Investigate publisher and OEM partner issues involving revenue drops, inventory imbalances, tracking gaps, ad-serving fallbacks, content categorization, and feed ingestion.
• Analyze production data with SQL, Kusto Query Language, and BigQuery, using Grafana, Kibana, Tableau, and internal tools to identify anomalies.
• Build, tune, and own production alerts, monitoring automation, investigation applications, and root-cause-analysis agents.
• Participate in PagerDuty on-call rotations and production incident response for hirify.global News.
• Partner with R&D and Product to frame technical problems, coordinate engineering involvement, and follow issues through resolution.
• Document recurring investigation patterns, build runbooks, and identify systemic improvements for products and platforms.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions on large analytical datasets.
• Experience in technical support, technical operations, or production engineering for complex distributed systems.
• Ability to read code, trace logic, and locate issues.
• Strong written and verbal English required for communication with engineers and business stakeholders.
• Investigative mindset and ability to determine root causes from ambiguous problem reports.
• Daily fluency with AI coding assistants and LLM tooling for code, queries, log analysis, summarization, and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience building agents, MCPs, or AI-assisted automations.
• Ad-serving experience with DFP/GAM, programmatic advertising, fallback paths, attribution, or tracking.
• RSS feed-ingestion pipeline experience.
• Production monitoring and on-call experience, including alerts, dashboards, and incident response.
