Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Wind Turbine SW (C++)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain C++ control software for Linux-based embedded systems used in wind turbines.
• Clarify requirements and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders worldwide throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement unit, integration, and acceptance testing supported by CI/CD and AI-assisted programming.
• Refactor existing code to improve fleet performance and contribute to innovation initiatives.
• Work in agile SCRUM and SAFe teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver reliable software.

Requirements

• Academic degree in IT, software, electronics, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in C/C++ software development.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, software testing, continuous integration, embedded control mechanisms, and middleware development.
• Knowledge of Linux-based x86 and ARM platforms, including Linux system hardening for cybersecurity.
• Experience with real-time protocols such as ProfiNet, Git, Jira, SCRUM, and SAFe.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Interest in controlling mechanical systems involving aerodynamics, mechanics, hydraulics, and power electronics.
• Experience integrating hardware and software into safe, high-quality solutions.
