Quality Manager Aseptic

Location: USA - NC - Maxton; onsite role

Salary: $115,600–$159,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the aseptic quality area, including operational quality, new line and product installations, process changes, and the aseptic laboratory.
• Maintain food safety and quality systems in compliance with USDA, FDA, regulatory, and corporate standards.
• Coordinate product releases, holds, startups, dispositions, corrective actions, and pre-shipment reviews.
• Supervise laboratory technicians and ensure chemical, physical, and microbiological sampling supports product and ingredient specifications.
• Lead audits, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, CAPA, 5S, and Lean Six Sigma improvement activities.
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Product Development, regulatory inspectors, and suppliers to resolve quality and startup issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of Quality Assurance manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation requirements, USDA and FDA regulations, and quality systems.
• Experience managing employees, staffing laboratory operations, and supporting employee development and performance.
• Ability to support regulatory and third-party audits and serve as a backup to the Site QA Associate Director.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing.
• 2 years of aseptic quality or production experience.
• Better Process Control Certification, organic production knowledge, and demonstrated microbiology knowledge.
