Senior Google Cloud Security Engineer (GCP)

Location: Madrid, Spain (hirify.global Spain); hybrid work with agreed days at home and at the ING MAD office

What you will do

• Secure and improve the resilience of Google Cloud infrastructure within the ING Global CISO environment.
• Implement vulnerability management processes and security controls.
• Validate and enforce secure configurations for cloud-native solutions.
• Support security for containerized environments, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, Python, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code in Google Cloud.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of security features in the GCP public cloud platform.
• Experience with vulnerability management, cloud-native security controls, and secure configuration enforcement.
• Experience with containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Programming skills in Python and knowledge of Bash or PowerShell.
• Clear communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OCI Public Cloud and VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Experience with ETL, data analytics, reporting solutions, Apache NiFi, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of network implementations or Kusto Query Language.
• Experience with Documentation as Code using Sphinx or reStructuredText.
• Cloud or security certifications and interest in emerging technologies.
