Senior QA Engineer (Playwright)

Location: Panama City, Panama; flexible hybrid work environment with occasional travel of 10% or less.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test suites using Playwright with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Build modular, reusable automation frameworks and integrate tests into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, cross-browser, and manual testing.
• Define test plans with developers and product owners, track defects, verify fixes, and maintain test coverage.
• Analyze automation results and improve QA tools, processes, and engineering standards.
• Mentor QA team members on Playwright and automation techniques.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience writing automated tests with Playwright.
• Solid proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with QA methodologies, test design, test management tools, CI/CD, REST API testing, and tools such as Postman or Playwright API.
• Familiarity with Git and strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for the energy sector and interest in power systems software.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, microservices, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of front-end testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Familiarity with the energy industry and power systems software.
