Senior DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d) (Data & AI): Building secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native security controls for applications across Kubernetes, containerized environments, and Data & AI platforms with an accent on application security, vulnerability management, and secure development guardrails. Focus on automating security testing, prioritizing and remediating CVEs, and helping engineering, MLOps, Data Science, and AI teams address emerging security challenges.
Location: Remote based in Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration at offices in Berlin or Cologne

What you will do
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing and controls.
- Strengthen application and cloud-native security across Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Develop practical security guardrails, standards, and solutions for Data & AI, AI/ML, MLOps, and Data Science teams.
- Identify, assess, prioritize, and support remediation of vulnerabilities and CVEs.
- Contribute to security testing, monitoring, observability, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Advise engineering teams on emerging security issues and secure software development practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience as a DevSecOps or Application Security Engineer.
- Senior or Staff-level technical depth and independence in owning complex security topics.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD security and GitHub, GitLab, or comparable tooling.
- Expertise in application security, Kubernetes and container security, vulnerability management, security scanning, triage, prioritization, and remediation.
- Experience translating security requirements into practical solutions and collaborating closely with developers.

- Experience with Python.
- Experience in Data & AI or ML environments.
