Assistant Buyer - Menswear (Retail)

Location: Enderby office, Leicester, United Kingdom; onsite

Salary: £34,000–£47,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop commercially successful menswear product ranges across categories.
• Build supplier relationships and analyse data to support product planning, buying, and profitability.
• Collaborate with designers, merchandisers, technologists, e-commerce, and marketing teams.
• Manage the product development and selection critical path, including range sign-offs.
• Optimise online sales through tone of voice, imagery, and other e-commerce tools.
• Identify new product opportunities, manage resources, and support delivery of sales, markdown, and profit KPIs.

Requirements

• Experience as an Assistant Buyer or in a comparable buying role within the fashion or retail industry.
• Strong analytical, planning, communication, and range management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the menswear market, current trends, competition, and brand DNA.
• Proven ability to streamline the critical path and trade ranges in-season.
• Ability to manage multiple product ranges and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently to source products and prices.
