is building Stride, a preventative health membership that combines DNA, microbiome, blood biomarker, epigenetic, and oral health data into a multi-omic health profile.
What you will do
- Build and launch Stride’s first installable app for iOS and Android, from architecture through App Store and Play Store approval.
- Decide where native functionality is required and where web views can accelerate delivery.
- Integrate the app with the existing REST API and data model, and help shape the API as product needs evolve.
- Develop notifications, check-ins, and other engagement features that encourage members to return weekly.
- Create member-facing experiences for a biological-age score and present large volumes of biomarker and trend data clearly.
- Collaborate with the product designer, CTO, founders, and scientific team on product, technical, UX, and scientific decisions.
Requirements
- Several years of experience shipping consumer-facing mobile apps used by real customers.
- Experience taking an app from zero to live, ideally owning the build end to end.
- Practical experience passing App Store and Play Store review.
- Experience presenting large amounts of data in a clear and engaging way.
- Fluency with AI development tooling, supported by strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Commercial awareness and comfort working in a small, fast-moving team where priorities and processes change quickly.
Nice to have
- Experience building wellness, health, or fitness apps.
- Native iOS or Android expertise, or experience with Flutter or React Native.
- HealthKit or Health Connect integration experience.
- Experience with data-heavy apps such as fintech, trading, or gaming products.
- Experience as an early or first engineer at a startup.
