TL;DR
Power BI Support (Microsoft Fabric): Providing operational support for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platforms with an accent on administration, monitoring, governance, security, and performance optimization. Focus on troubleshooting refreshes and deployments, managing capacities and gateways, automating administration with PowerShell and APIs, and improving platform reliability.

What you will do

  • Provide operational support for Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, maintaining platform availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Monitor tenant health, Fabric capacities, workspaces, gateways, refresh schedules, usage, and activity.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents involving report access, data refreshes, semantic models, gateways, deployment pipelines, permissions, and connectivity.
  • Administer workspaces, applications, users, groups, licenses, gateways, data connections, and capacity assignments.
  • Support and optimize reports, dashboards, semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and data refresh processes.
  • Maintain governance and security standards, document procedures, support deployments, and automate administration and remediation tasks.

Requirements

  • Practical experience building Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models, with advanced DAX and Power Query skills.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional models, star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Experience connecting Power BI to SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, Excel, REST APIs, cloud storage, and other data sources.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI governance, tenant administration, workspaces, gateways, capacities, security, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with Azure data services, Snowflake, CI/CD, Microsoft Fabric components, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting or Finance, Engineering, or Information Technology.
