Senior Data-Focused Business Analyst (SQL)

Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid work model. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

What you will do

• Collaborate with French business units to gather requirements and design to-be process workflows.
• Create functional specifications, use cases, and user guides in French.
• Write autonomous SQL queries using SELECTs, JOINs, and subqueries to extract, analyze, and validate data.
• Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and define optimized operating models.
• Support testing, coordinate UAT, and assist with software deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing data flows and verifying data consistency.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or data-oriented IT consultant.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation.
• French at minimum B2 level for documentation and stakeholder interactions.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or lease application domains.
• Knowledge of process modeling tools or methodologies.
