Senior Bookkeeper (Maternity Cover, iGaming)

What you will do

• Review and approve accounting entries before posting, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with accounting procedures.
• Record daily transactions, supplier invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, and intercompany activity across multiple entities.
• Complete monthly bank, creditor, debtor, and intercompany reconciliations and follow up on open items.
• Support month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting.
• Prepare VAT workings, statutory filing support, and annual audit schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team on IFRS and local regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and working knowledge of IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with bank, creditor, debtor, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to meet month-end deadlines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of E-Soft accounting software.
• Progress toward an ACCA, ACA, or CPA qualification.
• Experience in a multi-entity or group environment.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and IAS 21 revaluation.
• Knowledge of Cyprus VAT and tax requirements; Greek language skills.
