Community Engagement Partner

Location: Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Hybrid working with 4 days in the office and 1 day at home.

What you will do

• Lead regional engagement and partnership strategies for hirify.global projects across planning, construction, and operational phases.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with government, industry, education and training providers, community organisations, community leaders, and First Nations organisations.
• Establish forums and collaborative initiatives focused on regional opportunities, shared challenges, and practical outcomes.
• Advise executives on stakeholder dynamics, community expectations, emerging issues, reputation risk, and regional sentiment.
• Shape partnership investments and administer the community grants program to strengthen local capability, workforce pathways, industry participation, and regional benefit.
• Develop governance, reporting, and evaluation practices while representing hirify.global in senior stakeholder meetings, public forums, and regional networks.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, communications, public policy, social planning, or a related discipline, or equivalent senior-level experience.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in community engagement, strategic partnerships, stakeholder relations, regional development, or corporate affairs.
• Experience working in infrastructure, energy, construction, technology, or other complex project environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated success establishing and sustaining partnerships across government, industry, education, community, and advocacy sectors.
• Strong executive advisory, communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, governance, prioritisation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work respectfully with First Nations communities and organisations and to manage complex stakeholder environments.

Nice to have

• Experience designing place-based engagement strategies, partnership programs, community investment initiatives, or multi-party forums.
• IAP2 accreditation or comparable professional development.
