Location: Remote, Canada

Annual salary: CAD 90,000–125,000

What you will do

• Build and scale Android features for seller and buyer marketplace experiences.
• Develop Jetpack Compose interfaces with clear state and event flows, supporting legacy XML where needed.
• Write unit tests and meet CI standards for formatting and coverage.
• Use AI tools for coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and knowledge sharing, verifying outputs before merging.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, backend, platform, QA, Senior Android, and iOS engineers.
• Develop end-to-end feature ownership while learning shared platform concerns such as feature flags, analytics, and authentication.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Android development or equivalent depth.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and experience shipping at least one production Android application.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or XML Views, Coroutines, basic dependency injection with Hilt, ViewModels, and StateFlow-style UI state.
• Experience with REST networking, local persistence basics, CI, code review, and unit testing.
• AI-first mindset with active use and critical evaluation of AI development tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Exposure to Hilt, Room, WorkManager, or CameraX.
• Marketplace or e-commerce mobile experience.
• Familiarity with hybrid WebView surfaces.
