Senior Software Engineer, ML Workflows

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; or Bellevue, WA

Base pay and target total cash: $165,000–$220,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and evolution of core ML workflow platform areas, including Artifacts, Registry, Automations, and Launch.
• Design and operate systems that scale to billions of artifacts and high-volume event and job throughput.
• Work across Go backend services, GraphQL APIs, the Python SDK, and the TypeScript frontend.
• Lead migrations and re-architecture of systems serving live customer traffic while improving reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, ML platform engineers, and enterprise customers to translate workflow needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering patterns and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, data science, information systems, or a closely related technical field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of significant technical initiatives or architectural changes.
• Strong proficiency in Go or another compiled language, with the ability to ramp up on Go quickly.
• Working proficiency in Python and the ability to diagnose complex bugs across service boundaries.
• Depth in one or two areas including distributed systems and infrastructure, frontend and full-stack development, data at scale, APIs and developer surfaces, or event-driven systems.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility for access without export authorization, or eligibility and a reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience in ML infrastructure, MLOps, or developer tools.
