Animator (Games)

Location: Tokyo area, Japan. Fixed-term contracts require onsite work for the first six months; remote work is available for freelancers.

What you will do

• Create high-quality hand-keyed animation for cartoony and mechanical characters, props, and vehicles used in games.
• Bring creativity and humor to character performances while adapting quickly to different animation styles.
• Work with programmers to implement character behaviors in-engine.
• Learn and use in-house animation tools and production pipelines.
• Manage schedules and deliver animation work on time.

Requirements

• Mid- to senior-level experience in game, feature film, or VFX production.
• In-depth knowledge of Maya.
• Strong hand-keyed animation skills.
• Efficient working style, strong time management, and a proactive approach to improving skills and speed.
• Positive attitude toward feedback and rework, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic Japanese language skills are required.
