Senior AI Applied Software Engineer (iOS) (Swift/UIKit/SwiftUI): Developing production-ready components, APIs, and features for Backbase Digital Banking with an accent on AI-assisted delivery, accessibility, security, performance, and backward compatibility. Focus on building maintainable iOS frameworks, designing testable components, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating in a cross-functional Scrum squad.
Location: Hybrid work based in Kraków, Poland, combining remote work with regular office work.

What you will do
- Maintain and extend the Digital Banking mobile product offering.
- Build production-ready iOS features and reusable Swift UIKit and SwiftUI components.
- Design Framework APIs and ABIs with backward compatibility for developers building mobile applications.
- Use AI coding assistants, LLM workflows, and automated tooling across UI, backend services, and APIs.
- Design testable components and maintain high standards for accessibility, security, and performance.
- Collaborate autonomously with UX, QA, and Product Managers in a cross-functional Scrum squad.
Requirements
- Professional experience designing and building iOS applications.
- At least one iOS application published on the App Store.
- Strong knowledge of mobile development for iOS and Swift.
- Experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, and maintainable software design.
- Ability to take ownership, identify tooling gaps, reduce technical debt, and improve delivery workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with TDD and unit testing.
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
