Excess Buyer (Electronic Components)

Location: England; remote or hybrid across Europe, with a preference for candidates based in the UK

Global digital distribution of electronic components supporting procurement, supply chain, and product manufacturing across communications, consumer electronics, and automotive industries.

What you will do

• Procure electronic components in line with supply chain strategy and company policies.
• Negotiate pricing, quantities, delivery schedules, and exclusive deals with OEM and OCM suppliers.
• Build and manage supplier relationships across the UK market while prospecting new suppliers.
• Manage excess inventory lists and support OEMs and OCMs in reducing excess inventory.
• Qualify suppliers, maintain accurate supplier profiles and CRM records, and monitor delivery performance and ratings.
• Place and follow up purchase orders, handle RFQs and VRFQs, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with sales and supply chain teams.

Requirements

• Native-level English fluency, written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Track record of securing cost savings and building supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• University degree in any field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in electronic components or procurement, with 3–5 years in electronic components ideal for senior candidates.
• Understanding of electronics supply chains, component types, major suppliers, and market dynamics.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Additional European languages.
