Security Engineer (AppSec / GRC / AI Security)

Location: Fully remote from Europe/Asia, with approximately 80% overlap with CET working hours

What you will do

• Own end-to-end security operations as the sole dedicated Security Engineer.
• Review code, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, work with Git/GitHub, and coordinate external penetration tests and audits.
• Build and maintain the security risk register, assess system exposure, and prioritise remediation by risk and business impact.
• Monitor alerts and threats, run security awareness programmes and phishing simulations, and provide occasional evening or weekend coverage.
• Manage secure onboarding and offboarding, device security through MDM, access permissions, and internal security controls.
• Track generative AI risks such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, filter bypasses, and vulnerabilities in third-party AI providers.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of hands-on security engineering experience, with flexibility for exceptional scale-up experience.
• Strong application security experience, including code reviews and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience conducting or coordinating security audits and penetration tests.
• Ability to code and work directly with Git/GitHub, plus practical scripting or automation skills in Python or Bash.
• Understanding of security governance, risk assessment, and prioritisation, with the ability to independently resolve security issues.
• Based in Europe and available for approximately 80% CET working-hours overlap; comfortable with occasional evening and weekend monitoring.
