Sr. Product Lifecycle Excellence Manager (Water Technology)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Office-based role with frequent visits to hirify.global locations, travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, and possible exposure to PPE, hazardous materials, extreme weather, and loud noise.

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Build and continuously improve the enterprise product lifecycle framework from strategy and ideation through development, launch, in-market management, renewal, rationalization, and end-of-life.
• Create lifecycle standards, playbooks, governance forums, decision rights, metrics, operating rhythms, and phased implementation roadmaps.
• Establish portfolio segmentation, 80/20 simplification, SKU and platform rationalization, and end-of-life practices while protecting customer commitments and strategic capabilities.
• Develop product and portfolio performance views covering growth, profitability, mix, adoption, quality, service, complexity, and customer value.
• Improve launch readiness, post-launch reviews, benefit realization, product transitions, and end-of-life execution.
• Lead cross-functional adoption across Product Management, Engineering, Innovation, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Marketing, Sales, IT, and Data and Analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, finance, operations, product management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, product lifecycle management, product operations, strategy, or a related field.
• Experience with end-to-end product or portfolio lifecycle decisions, including strategy, development governance, launch, in-market performance, simplification, and end-of-life.
• Experience applying 80/20 principles, portfolio segmentation, product-line simplification, SKU rationalization, platform reduction, or comparable complexity-management methods.
• Strong financial, analytical, facilitation, executive communication, stakeholder-management, and change-leadership skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority, manage multiple workstreams, and convert ambiguity into practical operating discipline.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or technical graduate degree.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, technology, water, or other complex global product environments involving hardware, software, services, and installed bases.
• Experience with product lifecycle platforms, product master data, portfolio dashboards, ERP, business intelligence, or AI-enabled product workflows.
• Knowledge of stage-gate systems, value engineering, design-to-value, cost-out, modularity, product platforms, Lean, agile, finance, or program management.
