Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer (Hardware)

What you will do

• Lead worldwide regulatory strategy and product certification activities across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia-Pacific, and other markets.
• Determine certification requirements and embed regulatory risks, timelines, costs, and activities into product development and launch plans.
• Manage regulatory testing, submissions, approvals, renewals, laboratories, certification agencies, consultants, and regulatory partners.
• Maintain technical files, declarations, certificates, test reports, compliance records, labels, packaging, and regulatory markings.
• Oversee factory, supplier, and manufacturing-partner compliance, including production controls, audits, corrective actions, and continued conformity.
• Establish standardized compliance processes, monitor emerging regulations, and provide guidance to Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Legal, suppliers, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Regulatory Compliance, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8–12+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, product certification, or a related function in consumer electronics, computer hardware, storage, connectivity, or technology.
• Strong experience with worldwide product certifications and requirements including FCC, CE, UKCA, CB Scheme, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and regional regulations.
• Experience working with certification laboratories, regulatory agencies, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and global or Asia-based engineering teams.
• Experience supporting hardware products through development, validation, certification, mass production, and post-market activities.
• Professional English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with external storage, SSDs, Thunderbolt or USB docks, hubs, adapters, memory, PCIe, connectivity products, or computer peripherals.
