Senior Process Engineer (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Office-based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia area; travel is required as needed for client meetings, design workshops, HAZOPs, and GMP reviews.

What you will do

• Lead process designs from feasibility and concept development through construction documentation and administration.
• Prepare process and clean utility calculations, drawings, reports, mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Design clean utility systems for purified water, WFI, clean steam, and process gases.
• Develop process equipment specifications for stainless steel and single-use equipment.
• Resolve complex biopharmaceutical process design issues involving GMP facilities, single-use systems, WFI strategies, and facility expansion.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, offices, consultants, clients, and suppliers while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of process engineering experience in a design firm, preferably in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or cell and gene therapy projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to develop and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Understanding of GMP manufacturing environments and strong client communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate others and travel as required; Professional Engineering licensure is strongly preferred.
