Nordics Design Lead (12 month FTC)

Canva is building a global design platform and content library that helps people create visual content.

What you will do

• Develop and drive creative direction for the Swedish market across social media, presentations, websites, and print.
• Oversee the creation and curation of design kits, campaign assets, templates, elements, and creator briefs.
• Use AI tools and scalable workflows to accelerate content production while maintaining design quality.
• Lead quality control and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and cultural expectations.
• Manage and mentor freelance designers and creators through clear briefs, feedback, and ongoing direction.
• Partner with content strategy, marketing, SEO, and community teams, while auditing content and analyzing performance.

Requirements

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating visual craft and cultural sensitivity.
• Experience using AI tools to generate, iterate, and scale content.
• Deep understanding of Swedish culture, design aesthetics, and consumer behaviour.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities without compromising quality.
• Experience briefing, reviewing, and developing freelancers or creators.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to translate strategy into creative output.
