What you will do
Study clonal evolution and leukemic transformation in inherited bone marrow failure syndromes, especially Shwachman-Diamond syndrome.
Investigate how somatic adaptation shapes disease trajectory and distinguishes compensatory from pre-malignant clones.
Develop and analyze primary patient samples and iPSC cell line models.
Conduct CRISPR and base-editing screens and evaluate therapeutic genome-editing strategies.
Apply single-cell genomics and quantitative analysis to research questions.
Work with a clinical bone marrow failure program in a collaborative research environment.

Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, Western blot, single-cell RNA sequencing, and basic biochemistry.
Quantitative data analysis skills and clear scientific writing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to have
CRISPR/Cas9 or base/prime editing experience, including guide design and editing outcome analysis.
Primary hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell culture, CD34+ work, or xenotransplantation and murine model experience.
