What you will do
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through upsell and cross-sell.
- Build sales presentations and deliver product demonstrations focused on identity security.
- Educate developers, product managers, and C-level executives on Okta's Identity Platform.
- Identify customer technical needs through detailed discovery and present solutions aligned with those needs.
- Advise enterprise and strategic customers on identity security possibilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Travel to meet customers and support customer-facing engagements.
Requirements
- Experience in PreSales, such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or PreSales Consulting.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, including through whiteboarding.
- Knowledge of at least one network security protocol, such as OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, or LDAP.
- Knowledge of identity governance and administration, including identity lifecycle management, access reviews, RBAC, and policy enforcement.
- Knowledge of privileged access management, including least privilege, JIT access, session monitoring, and privileged credential vaulting.
- Understanding of application security, sales methodologies such as MEDDPICCC, enterprise customers, and business value communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with identity and access management, single sign-on, and API-based solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field.
- Software development experience.
